Hello Debbie, it’s very nice to hear, that you like the pattern!
As for the leg portion, the pattern goes like this (for the right leg):
Rounds 1-3: K2, P2, K2, P2, Knit to end of round
Round 4: K2, P2, C1B, P2, Knit to end of round
So you are not repeating the 4 cuff rounds, but working 4 new rounds. So for the first 3 rounds you will- K2, P2, K2, P2 (these are the 8 cable stitches, that are worked exactly like 2×2 rib), but then you will knit the remaining 52 stitches. You will cross the cable every 4 rounds. And the cable will be as pictured on a stockinette background.

Hello , I just found your lovely lavender Lane sock knitting pattern today and have immediately started knitting them, but I am a little confused as we get to the leg an have to repeat rows 1-4 we are still, for the first 3 rows knitting in rib (k2 p2) but in the picture of your socks, apart from the 4 cable sts (p2 c1b p2) the remaining sts look like knitted sts! Am I reading the pattern wrong or does it all work out as it should? I love the pattern and the colour you used by the way, thank you for it

Hi, to work c1b (cable 1 back) you will:
1. Slip 1 stitch onto a cable needle and hold in the BACK of your work.
2. Knit the next stitch on your left-hand needle.
3. Knit the stitch off the cable needle.

No question… Just many thanks for one of the easiest sock patterns I’ve done. I’m working on the first sock, and hope to do the next one tomorrow. Yay! Would not hesitate to but your patterns because your explanations are very clear!!
