The shawl is worked top-down and it grows sideways, so you when you’ll look at your work (from a knitters point of view) you will look at it upside down. Hope this makes sense. I’ll try to add a schematic image of the process to the post.
The first image is just a photo of the finished shawl and there is seen the garter stitch border, that you’ll work at the very end of the pattern.

I started the lilac shawl and I don’t think I’m doing it right when pictures are compared.

Can’t send a picture to show you. If is could…This would be great.
I rechecked the pattern and I can’t figure with out.
Maybe it’s the yarn I used? Pattern problem? Just the picture.
