The pattern is written for 3 different sizes – S, M, and L. When you get to round 6 you follow the instructions for your size- size S and L (the instructions are identical for both sizes), or size M.

The wrong side is the one that will not be visible after the hat is finished. As you work the brim, the actual pretty side of the pattern will be inside the hat, but as you will fold up the brim – it will be visible.
