RUG PATTERN OVERVIEW
Knitted mug rugs make a quick knitting project, that allows you to use up the leftover yarn from your stash. They also make a quick handmade gift.
The Waterfall mug rugs feature a seed stitch pattern. It’s a beautiful textured stitch, that doesn’t curl. Two rows of drop stitches and fringe on each side of the rug add a boho look.
Finished size: 4.7″ (12cm) wide and 7″ (18cm) long (not including the fringe).
If you want to make the rugs wider/narrower cast on more/fewer stitches. If you want them to be longer/shorter work more/fewer rows.
Gauge: 20 stitches x 28 rows = 10 x 10cm (4 x 4″ ) in seed stitch pattern.
Gauge is not really important for this project.

Fringe
Cut 44 strands of yarn, approximately 5″ (13cm) long. There are 11 sets of fringe on each side of the rug, one fringe consists of 2 strands of yarn.
To attach the fringe take two strands of yarn and fold them in half. Insert your crochet hook into the first stitch from back to front, grab the folded yarn, and pool out a loop. Now pull the ends of the fringe through the loop and tighten.
Repeat for every other stitch and trim the fringe to the desired length (about 1″ long).
